Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 4, 2026
Pressure helps people practice speaking clearly in short, realistic pressure moments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to the Pressure app and the Pressure website at pressure.app.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Pressure, we may process:
- spoken practice audio
- transcript text generated from your spoken responses
- practice prompts, rep results, feedback, and session summaries
- app settings, progress, and Premium access status
- a random app device ID
- usage-limit and entitlement information
- optional feedback or issue reports you choose to send
- limited technical logs and diagnostic information
We try to collect and store only what is needed to operate, improve, protect, and support Pressure.
Microphone and audio
Pressure uses your microphone so you can complete spoken practice reps.
When you answer a prompt out loud, your audio may be sent to our backend and to transcription providers, including OpenAI, so we can turn your speech into text and generate feedback.
Pressure is designed around short practice reps, not maintaining a library of your recordings. Raw audio may be processed by our backend and third-party providers, including OpenAI, to transcribe your answer and provide feedback, but Pressure is designed not to store raw audio, transcripts, or AI feedback as persistent training history unless you choose to include information in optional feedback.
Transcription and AI feedback
Pressure uses transcripts, prompt context, and practice metadata to provide feedback after reps, generate session summaries, and suggest what to train next.
This may involve sending relevant text, prompts, transcripts, and metadata to AI service providers, including OpenAI. AI-generated feedback may be imperfect. It is intended for practice and self-improvement, not as professional, legal, medical, financial, career, or mental health advice.
Local app storage and device ID
Pressure may create a random app device ID and store it on your device. We use this ID to operate the app, manage usage limits, connect subscription access, prevent abuse, and keep your progress and Premium status working across our app and backend systems.
This ID is not intended to directly identify you by name.
The app may also store information locally on your device, such as settings, progress, training state, app state, and Premium access status.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you start a trial, subscribe, restore purchases, or use Premium features, Apple/App Store and RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription information.
We use RevenueCat to help determine whether your device has active Premium access and to sync that access with our backend systems. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
RevenueCat may receive a random app-generated device ID and Apple purchase or subscription state so Premium access can be managed without a Pressure account login.
Apple/App Store handles billing, payment processing, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds according to Apple’s policies.
Feedback reports
If you send feedback or report an issue, we may collect the reason for the report, app/device metadata, prompt identifiers, platform information, app version/build information, and any message you choose to write.
Prompt reports are designed to avoid sending audio, transcripts, or full prompt text. Optional written feedback may include whatever information you choose to type.
General feedback reports may include the category you select, any optional message you write, limited app context, and hashed request or device signals used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in spoken reps or optional feedback unless you want that information processed by Pressure and its service providers for app, feedback, or support features.
Logs, limits, and diagnostics
Pressure uses operational logs and diagnostics to keep the service reliable, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Our backend may store operational information such as usage counters, free-limit markers, Premium access cache, feedback reports, generated prompt-audio cache, rate-limit data, and technical logs.
Generated prompt audio may be cached so the app can load spoken prompts faster and reduce repeated generation costs.
Generated text-to-speech audio may be cached temporarily, generally for minutes and up to 30 days for static prompt audio.
Pressure may use first-party aggregate app analytics to understand onboarding progress, paywall views and purchase or restore result buckets, training starts and completions, and session summary availability or card-count buckets.
These analytics are designed not to include raw audio, transcripts, prompt text, AI feedback text, user-written feedback messages, raw device IDs, RevenueCat CustomerInfo, purchase transaction IDs, or secrets.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Pressure app data for third-party advertising tracking.
Third-party services
Pressure uses third-party services to operate the app and website. These may include:
- OpenAI for transcription, text-to-speech, AI feedback, summaries, and scenario generation
- Cloudflare for backend hosting, KV storage, caching, logs, rate limits, counters, and security
- RevenueCat for subscription status and Premium entitlement management
- Apple/App Store for billing, subscriptions, cancellation, refunds, and purchase management
- Vercel for website hosting and analytics
- Formspree for website forms, such as email update or contact forms
These providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Data storage and retention
Pressure stores some information locally on your device and some information in backend systems or third-party services.
We aim to minimize stored practice data and avoid keeping more information than we need to operate and improve Pressure. Some information may be kept for longer where needed for security, fraud prevention, support, legal compliance, billing, subscription access, usage limits, analytics, diagnostics, or product improvement.
Optional feedback records and aggregate analytics counters may be retained for up to 180 days. Premium usage, fair-use, and rate-limit counters may be retained as needed to enforce limits, prevent abuse, and operate Premium access.
Third-party services may retain information according to their own policies.
Your choices and deletion requests
You can stop using Pressure at any time. You can also delete the app from your device, which may remove locally stored app data from that device.
Pressure does not currently offer a full account dashboard or in-app account deletion flow.
If you have a privacy question or deletion request, contact us at privacy@pressure.app. We can help with information controlled by Pressure, but data processed by third-party services may also be subject to those providers’ policies and retention practices.
Children’s privacy
Pressure is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents or guardians can contact us at privacy@pressure.app with any concerns.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of Pressure after changes means you accept the updated policy.
